What that means in practice
When you follow a product link from this site to Amazon and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to Amazon directly. That is how the research and the calculators here are paid for.
What it does not change
The sizing arithmetic on this site does not know what anything costs. A room needs the clean air delivery rate the calculation says it needs, and no commission rate alters that number. Where the honest answer is that a machine cannot serve a room, the page says so and recommends two units or a smaller space rather than the largest single machine available.
There are also things this site will not link to at any commission. Ozone generators are the clearest case: they are sold as air purifiers, they emit ozone into occupied rooms, and no payment rate makes that a reasonable recommendation.
